I was driving on I-80 from Chicago to Pennsylvania when my transmission decided to stop propelling me down the road. I limped into Towpath Plaza. The transmission gods were smiling upon me that day, as I was towed 20 some miles to Jim & Sons Transmission in nearby Cuyahoga Falls. I was greeted by Tiffany upon arriving. Being rattled from this experience, she took the time to calm me down and assured me that I would be taken care of in a very efficient manner. Next, I met Max, who came out to the parking lot to do an initial inspection of my transmission problem. With an in-depth explanation, I was informed that I would probably need another transmission. Max assured me I would receive pricing options, and I would not be pressured into making a decision. Max then told me to take my time in making a decision. I then had the opportunity to meet Beverly at the front service counter. Besides taking down all information needed with her sunny disposition, she became the concierge for the rest of my stay in Cuyahoga Falls. Beverly immediately started calling around for a rental car, because Jim & Sons' rental cars were all being used. She found the best rate from a car rental agency in Akron, and then drove me to their rental office. Throughout the time I was there, Beverly hunted down the best-priced motel, told me about places to eat, and basically watched out for me. Beverly really is one hell of a woman! Getting toward the end of my stay, I met Dan. Dan and I got together and he explained what was done, and all about the final testing to ensure sure the transmission was working properly. Right before I was able to head home, their technician found a leak in my radiator. Dan came out, and once again I had my options explained. If I had my wishes, I would want Jim & Sons to be a general repair shop. I would drive the 360 miles from Chicago to their shop in Cuyahoga Falls for all my auto repair needs. What an excellent company to do business with!
